When will my crypto be refunded after a failed sale?

If you sent crypto and received an email from Ramp Network confirming that your sale failed, your transaction is already being processed for a refund. You do not need to submit a separate refund request.

Check the transaction page and email for updates, and follow any requests for more information.

Some transfers need extra checks before a refund can be processed:

  • An unmatched transfer: crypto was sent without first creating a sale, or could not be matched to the transaction.

  • A wrong asset, network or transfer detail: the transfer needs investigation and may require manual recovery.

  • A failed transaction over a weekend: processing may resume on the next business day.

  • An ownership or account-detail issue: the payout account or card does not match the seller’s details.

Cases requiring manual handling can take up to 10 business days. This is not a guarantee that every unsupported asset or wrong-network transfer can be recovered.

Where is my refund sent?

A standard crypto refund is sent to the wallet address recorded as the source of your transfer. If you sent from an exchange or another hosted wallet, contact that provider if it needs to credit the return to your account. Exceptional or manual cases may need additional instructions from Ramp Network support; do not assume you can choose a different refund address.

How do I track the refund?

Check the transaction receipt and your email for updates. When a refund transfer is available, check it on the correct blockchain and in the wallet associated with the refund.

If you sent from an exchange or another provider that manages your wallet, that provider may need to credit the return to your account. Do not assume a refund can be redirected to a different wallet; contact Ramp Network support if the return details need attention.

My refund has not arrived

If more than 48 hours have passed since Ramp Network approved your refund, and none of the exceptions above applies, contact support if you have no refund or update.

If you are unsure whether your refund has been approved, check the transaction page and your email, or contact Ramp Network support to check its status. A failed sale does not by itself mean a refund has been approved.

For a manual case, follow the estimate and instructions provided for your transaction. Contact support if that estimate passes, or if 10 business days pass without completion.

Include your Ramp Network transaction ID, original transfer hash, asset, network and any refund transfer hash you have. Never share a recovery phrase or private key.
