Why can’t I add my card?

If you see Card could not be saved or Card declined, read the explanation below the message. It tells you whether to correct your details, try again or use another payment method.

Check your card and billing details

  1. Use a card in your own name.

  2. Check the card number, expiry date and security code in the payment form.

  3. Enter your billing address accurately, including the postal code, and complete every required field.

  4. If the message says your card needs a US billing address, check that you have entered the actual billing address registered with your bank. Do not use a different address to bypass the requirement.

If the message says transactions can no longer be processed because you cannot add a card in your name, contact Ramp Network support rather than trying someone else’s card.

Is my card supported?

Use a supported personal Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card. Prepaid, gift and business cards are not supported. Availability can also depend on the country where your card was issued and your location.

If your card is not supported, choose another card in your name or another payment method shown for the purchase.

What if there is a technical issue?

If the message says the card could not be added because of a technical issue, follow its instruction to try again or use another payment method. A technical error does not, by itself, mean that your card is permanently blocked.

What should I ask my bank?

Ask whether the card is active, permits crypto purchases and supports the required 3D Secure security check. Your bank may restrict a payment even if previous purchases worked.

Also check any verification or purchase-limit instructions shown by Ramp Network. Bank approval does not remove these requirements.
