Verify your identity

When Ramp Network asks you to verify your identity, have your original ID ready and follow the verification screen. Depending on your location, you may also need proof of address.

Choose an accepted document

For US verification, use a driver's license or government-issued ID. Outside the US, accepted documents can include a passport, residence permit, driver's license or government-issued ID. Use a document type offered in your verification screen.

Your document must show your full legal name, date of birth and issue date, and remain valid for at least three months from submission.

For Canadian customers, a provincial government-issued health insurance card is also accepted. Provide both the front and back.

Capture your document

  1. Use a clear, full-color image of the original document.

  2. Keep the entire document in the frame, including every edge and any machine-readable strip.

  3. Make sure all details are readable, without glare, shadows or anything covering them.

  4. Provide the front and back when using a national identity card or driver's license.

  5. Complete the selfie or liveness step when requested.

Do not upload screenshots. If the verification screen offers an upload option, you can take a clear photo beforehand. Otherwise, use its camera instructions.

Submit documents through the verification flow. Never send your recovery phrase, private keys or sign-in code as proof of identity.
