Protect your credentials
Keep your device and the account used by your passkey provider secure.
Never share your recovery phrase, private keys or authentication codes.
Keep any recovery phrase backup private and offline. Do not store it in an email, screenshot or chat.
Review your recovery setup while you can still use your existing passkey.
A recovery phrase gives access to wallet funds. Only use recovery tools you understand and trust; do not enter it into a website or app recommended by someone offering to recover your funds.
Set up recovery with email
In Account, look for Recovery with email. Read the explanation and confirm with your existing passkey when enabling it.
Recovery with email must be enabled before you lose access to your passkey. You cannot turn it on afterwards without the required wallet authentication. Signing in to your Ramp Network account with email alone does not restore wallet access.
I changed phones or lost my passkey
First check whether your passkey is available through the same passkey provider you used previously. Availability depends on your device and provider settings.
If email recovery was enabled, use the app's Passkey recovery flow and complete the email verification and new-passkey prompts shown.
If you cannot access a recovery method, contact Ramp Network support to understand the available next steps. Support cannot promise to restore access to a self-custodial wallet when the required credentials and recovery methods are unavailable.
Should I turn off email recovery?
Read the warning in the app before disabling it. Losing your passkey without a usable recovery method can leave you unable to access your wallet. Make sure you understand your remaining recovery options first.
