Why is my wallet address already filled in?
Many partner apps and websites provide Ramp Network with the address of the wallet you selected before starting your purchase. When the receiving address is already filled in, you do not need to copy or enter it again.
Check that the selected destination is the wallet you intend to use. The wallet must support the crypto asset and network for your purchase.
Add an address if Ramp Network asks for one
Open your external wallet and find its receiving address for the crypto asset and network you want to use.
Copy the address.
In the Ramp Network purchase flow, paste it into Your wallet.
Check the full address and complete any questions about the wallet.
Select Add wallet, then check the selected destination before completing your purchase.
These manual steps apply only when you need to add a receiving walletânot when your partner app or website has already provided it.
Why does the network matter?
A crypto asset can be available on more than one network. Your receiving wallet must support the exact network selected for the purchaseânot just an asset with the same name.
If you are unsure which network your wallet supports, check with your wallet provider before paying.
Why is my wallet address rejected?
Check that you copied a receiving address for the selected network, without extra characters. Follow the message shown in the purchase flow.
If the message identifies the address as a token contract address, use your walletâs receiving address instead. A token contract address is not the address of your personal wallet.
If Ramp Network identifies the address as a Ramp Network wallet address, this purchase flow requires an external receiving wallet. To fund your wallet in the Ramp Network app, follow that appâs Top up instructions instead.
Is a wallet address the same as a recovery phrase?
A wallet address tells Ramp Network where to send your crypto. A private key or recovery phrase gives access to the wallet. Never enter a recovery phrase or private key in an address field or share it with support.
Check the destination carefully before paying. Once crypto has been transferred on the blockchain, Ramp Network cannot reverse the transfer.
