What is RAMP Network’s Swap Service?

RAMP Network’s swap service allows users to swap one cryptocurrency for another quickly and securely.

Here’s how it works:

  • The user selects the cryptocurrency they want to send and the cryptocurrency they want to receive, along with the correct blockchain networks.

  • The system generates wallet addresses for the receiving side.

  • The user transfers the specified crypto amount from their wallet to RAMP Network’s address.

  • Once the transfer is confirmed on the blockchain, RAMP Network processes the swap and sends the equivalent amount of the selected cryptocurrency to the user’s receiving wallet.

How to Start a Crypto Swap

  1. Go to the RAMP Network platform.

  2. Select the “swap” service option

  3. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to send from the supported assets.

  4. Select the cryptocurrency you want to receive and ensure you pick the correct blockchain network.

Example: If you plan to send USDC on the Arbitrum network, select USDC (Arbitrum) as the sending asset and make sure you use the same network when sending funds.

How Long Does It Take?

  • Most swaps are completed within a few minutes after RAMP Network receives your crypto.

  • In some cases, processing may take longer due to:

    • Blockchain network congestion

    • Additional verification checks

    • Other external factors

Entering Wallet Addresses

  • Sending Wallet: Enter the address from which you will send the crypto.

  • Receiving Wallet: Enter the wallet address where you want to receive the swapped crypto.

    • You can use the same address for both sending and receiving if it supports assets on both chains.

What Happens After Clicking “Swap”?

  • You’ll see a transaction timeline and receive the details (recipient address, amount) for sending your crypto.

  • Transfer the crypto from your wallet using the provided details.

  • Return to RAMP Network to track the transaction in real time.

Status Updates & Notifications

  • The status updates automatically based on blockchain confirmations and internal processing.

  • You will receive email notifications when:

    • RAMP Network receives your crypto

    • Your swapped crypto has been delivered

What if I send the wrong asset, use the wrong network or if the funds are sent from a wallet other than the one specified?

If the asset or network doesn’t match your original selection, or if you send funds from a wallet other than the one specified:

  • The transaction will not be processed.

  • Your funds will be refunded (minus network fees) to the original wallet and network after verification.

  • Refunds can take up to 5 business days.

What If I Send More or Less Than the Specified Amount?

  • The system automatically recalculates the swap based on the amount received.

  • You’ll get the equivalent value of the destination cryptocurrency for the actual amount sent.

What If My Transfer Is Taking Longer Than Expected?

  • Most delays are due to network congestion or other external factors.

  • If your transaction is pending for more than 3 hours, contact RAMP Support for help.
